Advent Lutheran is part of the Synod of Alberta and Territories and a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC).  We were established on December 1st, 1980 and have since grown to a membership of over 300 people.  We are a diverse community and welcome new members to our family of faith.

We draw strength from our heritage and traditions.  We love, care for, nurture and value our members through programs such as Camp Kuriakos and the Canadian Lutheran World Relief (CLWR). We are committed to serve.

We have recently adopted the following purpose statement and guiding principles to help us in our decision making:

5. We are committed to living our faith and hope in loving service to the world.

Council Organization: Advent’s Church Council has 12 elected positions. They are President, Vice President, Treasurer, Finance, Council Secretary and Chair persons of the following Boards: Worship, Outreach, Education, Stewardship, Fellowship, Care and Property.

Worship services: 10:00 am on Sundays, special services held during Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter. We celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion each Sunday.
Sunday learning: Nurturing the Faith (Sunday School) classes 9:30 am for ages 3 to grade 6.
