EDUCATION

Christian education is at the very heart of the church. In the educational process, the Spirit of God encounters people of all ages so that they are nurtured in faith, grow in knowledge and experience, and are empowered to live as disciples of Jesus Christ. This call to discipleship compels us to share our faith and serve others in the home, the community, and in God’s world.

Confirmation

Confirmation at Advent is a program for young people in Grades 7 and 8. Confirmands are involved in weekly classes and are encouraged to serve on Sunday morning in various roles.

Confirmation Schedule
Please bring your Here We Stand Student Book, Bible, a small notebook, and a pencil/pen to every class. Classes start in September.

** Currently Confirmation Classes are being held most Sundays from 11:30am-1:30pm. Bring a bagged lunch. Classes will be shared with Hope Lutheran Church once again. We also participate in the Calgary City Wide group that meets normally one Wednesday each month.

Weekday Studies

Regular Bible classes start in the fall through to spring.
